My parents died when I was 14 years old. If there’s ever an emotion that I was constantly plagued with, it was this one. Even among a sea of people, I felt alone. Even as I was with my own family, I felt all alone. When I finally understood that I was never alone because He was always with me, I felt an overwhelming sense of peace. I hope this prayer helps you.
Prayer for Being Alone
Lord God,
Thank you so much for promising to always be with me. Thank you for your love and your undying mercy and kindness.
There are so many times that I feel so alone, even when I’m in the middle of a crowd. Yet no matter how I feel, I will remember that your word says that I can’t go anywhere to escape you. You know when I sit and when I rise. Even before I think to say a word, you know it completely. (Psa 139:2,4). The truth is You are always with me so I am never alone.
Thank you for promising not to fail me or abandon me (Deu 31:6). Thank you for promising to always be with me, even to the end of age (Matt 28:20). Help me remember that no matter how I may feel, the truth is You are always with me, always just one thought away.
