Prayer for Hopelessness
Lord,
I know You are sovereign. No other name is above your name. Nothing happens that you did not allow or command into being. So even when things look hopeless, yet I will trust in You (Job 13:15).
I know that Your eyes move to and fro throughout the earth to strongly support those whose heart is completely His (2 Chron 16:9). I know I am never alone because I cannot go anywhere to escape your presence. You are my Jehovah Shammah, you are always there.
When I feel like giving up, I will remember that I can do all things through Christ (Phil 4:13). I will remember Paul’s words and find comfort that I am troubled on every side yet not distressed; I am perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted but not forsaken; cast down but not destroyed (2 Cor 4:8-9). I will remember that for You nothing is impossible (Luk 1:37). You can change any situation. YOU are my hope, so I can never be hopeless, regardless of how I feel.
I will be strong. I will courageous, I will not fear (Josh 1:9) and I will trust in You no matter what things look like (Psa 46:10). I know you are in control and I know that You will NOT allow me to suffer above which I am able (1 Cor 10:13).
