Prayer for Overwhelmed
Heavenly Father,
I love you because you are so good to me. Thank you for being available to me day and night. Thank you for promising to never leave me. Thank you for offering to carry my load.
I feel so overwhelmed, swimming in deadlines and I feel like I’m being pulled in many, many directions. I feel like I cannot handle one more thing.
Please, please help me to remember that you call to you all those who are weary so you can give them rest (Matthew 11:28). Thank you for making me lay down in green pastures (Psalm 23). I don’t have to solve every problem. YOU alone are God, not me (Psalm 86:10). YOU are in control. Even if I feel completely out of control, YOU are in control.
This one life is all I have. Give me real discernment to know what my real priorities are. Remove my guilt for saying no.
Thank you Jesus for your peace that transcends all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Thank you for being my refuge and my strength (Psalm 46:1).
