Prayer for Being Scared
Heavenly Father,
Thank you so much for your grace and mercy and protection. You are the Great Lord of Hosts, in whom shall I fear?
Your word says if You are for me, who can be against me? The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? (Psa 118:6)
I keep replaying in my mind things that could happen and then worrying about scenarios that are so far from even happening. I’m inventing things and obsessing and worrying. But I will take a deep breath. I will be still and remember You fight for me. (Exo 14:14)
God did not give me a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. (2 Tim 1:7) You have given me power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all power of the enemy. You have promised that NOTHING would hurt me (Luk 10:19). You have reminded me that no weapon formed against me will prosper (Isa 54:17).
After all, can I add a single hour to my life by worrying? (Matt 6:27) No, I cannot. When I’m afraid, I will put my trust in you (Psa 56:3),
Thank you Lord for redeeming me, for calling me by name, for making me yours. I will NOT fear. (Isa 43:1) I know you will strengthen me and uphold me with your righteous hand. (Isa 41:10)
Thank you for every single one of your promises. Thank you for your word.
I love you. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen
